THE BEST = Excluding my third-favourite film of all time, Rear Window (because I've seen it before), the best film I saw in October was And Your Mother Too! (Y tu mamá también). I bought a second-hand DVD copy from eBay on impulse, and I'm so glad I did. One of the best films about sex I have ever seen. Perhaps the best.
THE WORST = Urban Legends: Final Cut, hands down.

Notes: I watched Vertigo and Rear Window as a double feature at the Randwick Ritz. Great night! They are the only two films I rewatched in October. To Rome with Love will go down as the first Woody Allen film I saw at a cinema, and I was disappointed by how flat and uninspired it was. It was nice to finally check out the Three Colours trilogy. Blue is my favourite. The other two were good, but didn't affect me in the same way. Dogville is an extremely challenging film, and I would put it in the must-see category. Goodfellas was a great movie, but it didn't wow me in the way it has wowed others. Elephant is an excellent high school film, but not in the traditional sense. It will shock you, and in some ways, it works as a horror film. Everything feels too real.
